Web Data

The computer systems and software allowing this web site to run smoothly acquire the personal data transmitted implicitly by routine Internet communication protocol in the course of normal usage. This information is not collected with the purpose of  associating it to identifiable users. However, when processed and compared with data possessed by third parties, this data by its nature could possibly lead to user identification. The IP addresses and domain names of computers used by visitors who link to this web site are examples of this kind of data, as well as URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) routing addresses, request times, request methods on the server, the size of files received in response, the numerical code indicating the outcome of the response given by the server (complete, error, etc.) and other parameters relative to the operational system or the computing environment of the user. This data is used solely for purposes of obtaining anonymous statistical information on site use and monitoring correct site operation, with the exception of cases when access to data is granted to legal Authorities in compliance with criminal investigations.

Cookies of a personal nature are not used in information transmission, nor are persistent c.d. cookies of any kind, otherwise known as user tracing systems.

The use of session c.d. cookies (which are not memorized by the user’s computer in a persistent manner and disappear once the browser is closed) is strictly limited to the transmission of session identification codes (made up of random server-generated numbers), which are necessary in order to guarantee secure and efficient site exploration. The session c.d. cookies used by this site allow us to avoid resorting to other IT techniques which are potentially detrimental to on-line user privacy. They also do not allow for the collection of personal data identifying the user.

At any time, the individuals to whom any personal data refers have the right to receive confirmation of the possible existence of this data, to know its content and origin, to verify its accuracy and request integration, updating or correction (art. 7 legislative decree n. 196/2003). Under the same article, individuals also have the right to request the cancellation, transformation into anonymous form, or the blockage of all data handled in violation of the law, as well as to legitimately contest its handling. Any request made to this end can be addressed to the Head of Service and Handling.
